Ten years ago, Newman was paralyzed from the waist down after his parachute
collapsed during a sky dive in Lake Elsinore, Calif., causing him to freefall more
than 1,200 feet and hit the ground at more than 100 MPH.
He suffered numerous life-threatening injuries, including a ruptured aorta,
which nearly cost him his life. When he emerged from a coma a month later, after
undergoing several radical surgeries, Newman was told that he would never
walk again. A decade later, Newman retired as the Number One World Champion
Tri-athlete in the disabled category.
"Normally in a 24 hour period when I am not training for competition, I drink
between Six to Eight bottles of water of half a liter. In the first 24 hours I drank
