Our researchers discovered that in 1941 it was determined that
certain wells on the Ogallala had water that contained minerals that
were very beneficial for the people who drank it. Once discovered
this superior water was soon being shipped all over the United
States and even to foreign nations. That is an impressive feat for
1941. Then in December 1941 World War II broke out and brought
fuel rationing with it. The thought of transporting the water from
north Texas to far off cities was forgotten as more important
concerns filled everyone’s minds and there was no fuel to
transport a luxury.
After the war the people had new interest and the special water
from the unique spot on the Ogallala was forgotten. Then in the
21st century new prospectors came looking for treasure. They were
not looking for silver gold or even oil. They were looking for
something more valuable, ultra-premium water. Imagine their
surprise when they found it in the Great Plains instead of the
Rockies or some desert island.
